Announcement from the Board of Directors

Marty Hornstein, Executive Director of Jewish Family Service Calgary (JFSC), has announced that he will retire on November 30, 2017. We would like to thank Marty for his hard work and dedication to the organization over the past 4 years.

A positive role model to JFSC staff and volunteers, Marty has been a valued representative of the agency both, within the Calgary nonprofit social service community, and the Jewish Community. Instrumental in developing the annual Martin, Staniloff and Thal Charity Golf Classic, Marty has been integral to the success of the agency fundraisers, working with donors, in addition to his role as Executive Director.

We wish Marty well in his future pursuits. JFSC will soon be starting a search for a new Executive Director coincident with the organization refining its strategic direction in order to continue to provide invaluable social service programming to the Calgary community.

More than 50 years strong, Jewish Family Service Calgary has a distinguished history of service as a non-denominational accredited social service and psycho-educational agency.
