Live2Give Youth Program raises Awareness about Social Issues

Live2Give is a partnership program developed by JFSC’s Shalom Bayit Department and Calgary Kollel. Live2Give raises awareness of Jewish students, in grades 8-12, about social issues that affect Calgarians, including Jewish Calgarians.

Its aim is to engage Jewish youth in service-based programs while building empathy to recognize vulnerability in our community, and the capacity for meaningful and effective engagement. It deepens their understanding of the root causes barriers that contribute to individuals becoming vulnerable.

Live2Give contextualizes the youth’s responsibilities as Jews to support the vulnerable in our community. It supports Jewish teens to look inside of themselves and their community to understand what they can do to make our community a better place and provides them with experience, so they know how they can help.
