Congratulations to Albert Feldman on receiving the Caregiver Recognition Award for 2018 as a Professional Caregiver-Western Region from Canada Cares-Caregiver Awards. The award is presented to exceptional professional caregivers. As their letter says “Family and Professional caregivers are often the unsung heroes of our healthcare system, and the care you provide as a personal support worker deserves to be recognized.”
Albert has been part of JFSC's Home Support Team since 2015.

The Caregiver Award – Every year five family caregivers and five professional caregivers from four regions of Canada (Western, Central, Atlantic and Northern) are selected to receive a Canada Cares Caregiver Award. Of these, one family caregiver and one professional was chosen as the 2018 Canada Cares National Caregivers of the Year. Launched in 2013, the annual Canada Cares Awards program has generated extensive community engagement and coast-to-coast media coverage. Since its inception almost a hundred awards have been presented. A national committee, based on criteria such as, caregiving activities, commitment to care, community involvement, and compassion, selects award winners.
