The Board of Directors of Jewish Family Service Calgary is pleased to announce that we have hired Roxanne Droppo to replace retiring Executive Director, Marty Hornstein. A Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Masters of Arts (MA), Roxanne will commence her duties November 20, 2017.
Roxanne brings with her more than 30 years of not-for-profit and for-profit experience in multiple areas that align with JFSC’s programs and services. This includes working with children and families across the spectrum from prevention, intervention and after care. She also has extensive experience providing home care services for seniors. Her last position was Provincial Director, Residential/Transitional Services at CBI Home Health.
Roxanne’s strengths lie in enhancing individual and team performance to achieve overall results. With a Master’s Degree in Leadership, she has demonstrated outcomes in administration management, community engagement, proposal writing, strategic management, human resources, service delivery and creating, managing and evaluating agency and program budgets. “As the new Leader of this organization, I am excited to be part of the next cycle of strategic planning for the Agency,” says Roxanne. She is committed to working diligently to meet the unique needs of the Jewish community in addition to the needs of the broader community.
A married mother with four children, Roxanne is active in her community through the parent council of the local high school, supports the fundraising arm at the elementary school, is active in the curling mixed league, and is an avid golfer.
Please join us in welcoming Roxanne to her new role with Jewish Family Service Calgary and we wish Marty all the best in his retirement.
