Always entertaining and informative, JFSC presents Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the third speaker in JFSC’s “Making a Difference” Online Speaker Series and Annual Fundraiser, Dr. Ruth will provide her sage advice for coping through challenging times.

Dr. Ruth Westheimer may be best known for talking explicitly about sex on radio and television, but that is only a small part of her rich and diversified life. From Holocaust survivor, to sniper, to Behavioral Therapist, Sexpert and Alzheimer’s Caregiving Authority, Dr. Ruth will speak about her lived experiences and provide strategies for coping through challenging times.

“Dr. Ruth’s experience and expertise is so timely in our current world,” says Roxanne Droppo, JFSC Executive Director. “As we all cope with our personal Covid situations, many of us have also been thrown into caregiving roles that have added an extra element of stress in our lives. Whether we are caring for children, family, parents or friends, it is so important to be aware of our situations and develop strong coping mechanisms.”

With JFSC’s new Memory Care and Caregiver Programs, we are excited to hear Dr. Ruth’s health-guided advice and coping strategies for caregivers looking after loved ones with dementia, in this growing social service area.
